Have your say on the Criminal Justice System in Hertfordshire!

You as residents can have your say on how the criminal justice system in Hertfordshire is run when its leaders hold a public board meeting next month.

The Hertfordshire Criminal Justice Board will be taking questions from the public and discussing issues including how victims are being treated.

The Board is made up of key agencies and individuals within the local Hertfordshire criminal justice system, including the Police and Crime Commissioner David Lloyd and Chief Constable Charlie Hall plus prosecution, prison and probation leaders. It will be held at Welwyn Civic Centre, in Prospect Place, Welwyn on Monday June 17th from 1pm to 4pm and refreshments will be available.

Chair of the Board Mr Lloyd said: “The board and I always strive to create stronger public focus and engagement in the work that I carry out on behalf of the residents of Hertfordshire. “My responsibilities do not just concern policing but also ensuring there is an efficient and effective strategy to cut crime in Hertfordshire. How criminal justice is delivered is a key part in this – to make sure victims are represented and offenders are punished. “We are holding one of our board meetings in public to give the opportunity for those with concerns or ideas to come along and make themselves heard by the decision makers.”

There will be 100 tickets available on a first come first served basis and they free and are available from this link on Eventbrite. You can reserve yours by clicking on this link.
