Ware Youth Town Council had its first meeting on 14 November 2011. The eleven founder members were presented with their badges of office by the High Sheriff of Hertfordshire, Lord Charles Cecil.

The Youth Town Council is made up of young people who live or go to school in Ware or the surrounding parishes. 

Youth Council Aims & Objectives

  • To represent and communicate the views of young people of Ware and the surrounding area to
  • Ware Town Council and such other organisations as may be interested.
  • To work with other organisations within Ware and the surrounding areas to promote the views of young people.
  • To act as representatives of young people at relevant functions and encourage links with groups of young people.
  • To be involved in the organisation of events for young people and seek to further the understanding between groups of young people.
  • To work to further the understanding of young people by the wider community.
  • To advise on any aspects of the policy for Youth Work in the Ware area.
    The Youth Town Council will not be linked to any political party and will promote local democracy to young people.
