Water Refill Station And Bottle

New water refill station at Ware Priory

Ready for Carnival Day tomorrow (6th July), Ware Town Council has built and installed a water refill station on the front lawn at the Priory that will be used during public events.

Everyone is welcome to fill their reusable water bottle for free and help reduce single-use plastic bottles.

The council is committed to becoming single-use plastic-free and are also trialling reusable plastic ‘glasses’ at Ware Priory functions whilst developing their in-house composting system to take compostable containers.

Much of all plastic waste generated comes from disposable water bottles. To highlight this, a 6.5-foot giant bottle has been constructed by council volunteers out of 591 individual bottles that were collected from residents and small businesses in Ware over just a few weeks!
