The town prepares for Ware Festival 2024 with Carnival Day on Saturday July 6
It’s Ware Festival month and the town prepares for it’s largest community event. The Ware Festival theme for 2024 is ‘What a Load of Rubbish’, aiming to highlight the importance of recycling, reducing waste, and promoting sustainable practices within the community. The festivities will commence on Saturday, 6th July with Carnival Day, expect to see a dazzling display of floats adorned with colourful decorations and eye-catching costumes as the parade marches from Broadmeads at 1:45pm, coming through Amwell End, High Street, Baldock Street and Park Road.
Once again the town will be filled with celebration with lots happening throughout the month for residents and visitors to enjoy.
Proceeds from the festival will be split between Ware Festival charities, Men’s Shed and the Ware & Hertford Waterways Chaplaincy, who support those living on our waterway. View the full programme below or download the programme here.
Please be advised that road closures will be in place and Priory Park play area will be closed on the morning of Saturday, 6th July, to allow for the setup of the Town Fair.
The towpath is closed but you can enjoy watching the raft race from the bridges at Saracen’s Head or Library car park.
