More Ware Town Council Grants Awarded to Local Groups and Charities
Ware Town Council continue to provide grants to local groups and charities.
ALWAYS BEE YOU
We recently awarded Always Bee You charity a grant towards group choir lessons. CEO Jo Radcliffe commented: “The choir has been a wonderful addition to our Always Bee You activities. We are learning several songs to sing at care homes to entertain people with dementia. The groups confidence and performance skills have really improved and they are enjoying the sessions so much. Singing is really helping some of the group members with their anxiety and mental health conditions and it’s wonderful to see the joy on their faces as they sing together.”
WARE POETS
Ware Poets also received grant funding for a poetry day on Friday, 8th November. Renowned poet Imtiaz Dharker will lead afternoon sessions with students from Chauncy and Presdales schools, and Imtiaz will be the featured guest poet at the evening event at the Southern Maltings. LOCAL SOCIAL
Local Social also received grant funding to support their weekly meetings, covering room rental and refreshments. Their mission is to bring people and neighbourhoods together in Ware and surrounding areas.
