Wf Logo 2025

The Ware Festival Committee is hard at work putting together an exciting and vibrant celebration for 2025, with a fresh new identity and a packed schedule of events. The festival will kick off on July 4th with a huge welcome back to the River Festival hosted by the Lea & Stort Branch IWA, offering a fantastic weekend along the water.

Carnival Day & the Town Fair takes place on Saturday, July 5th, where the theme ‘Colour Rush’ promises a bright and lively Carnival Parade and will bring a burst of colour to the streets. This year, the event will support two important local charities, Isabel Hospice and Southern Maltings, which are well-known within the community. The Boat Parade & river activities are also on Saturday, July 5th.

The festivities continue with a series of events, including:

  • Ware Festival of Running (10 mile, 10k and children’s races) on Sunday, July 6th.
  • Ware Brass Summer Picnic Concert at Ware Priory on Sunday, 6th July.
  • Riverside Real Ale Festival, Pavement Artists Competition, Raft Race, and Putting Competition all on Saturday, July 12th.
  • A Twist of Rock concert at Ware Priory grounds on Sunday, July 13th.
  • The 11th Annual Food Festival on Sunday, July 20th—a change from its usual timing in May.
  • Old Town Live Ware is expected to take place on Saturday, July 26th.
  • Ware Town Fringe at Southern Maltings on Saturday, July 26th.

This lineup promises to offer something for everyone, from music and food lovers to those seeking fun activities for all ages. Make sure to mark your calendars for a month full of local celebrations and entertainment!
