Ware Bear Trail prize draw additional terms and conditions
Ware’s annual Dickensian Festival is not returning until December 2022, in the meantime we have set about making the town centre an even more beautiful and festive place to enjoy this year.
Back by popular demand is Ware Bear to light up the High Street with his sparkly red waistcoat and giant Santa hat. He featured in many a selfie last year with young and old alike. We’re upping our illumination game in 2021 with more bright features including cross street displays high above the streets and festoon lighting in surrounding areas. The Museum & Tudor Square trees will be lit up as will the Priory facade and to top the festive display off, Ware’s traditional, colourful lantern lights will also line the town centre.
The Town Centre Partnership and Ware in Bloom are delivering more cheer by wrapping the town’s flower planters in Christmas bows with solar lights, each sponsored by a different business. The extra illuminations help make Ware an even more welcoming place to eat, drink, shop and enjoy.
Giving families another ‘pawfect’ reason to visit is the Ware Bear Trail from 27th November until 2nd January. Ware is going on a bear hunt as participants follow the trail map to spot the bears hiding in shop windows. Track them all down for a chance to win a prize and pick up a treat. Free trail maps will be available from the town centre and the town council website.
Ware has a fine history and reputation when it comes to food and drink. With 45 restaurants, cafes, and eateries there’s Christmas fare for every taste, not to mention our 15 pubs and bars meaning a drop of festive cheer is never far away!
To top it off, don’t forget Ware Town Council’s Christmas carol concert with Ware Brass on Sunday, 19th December at The Priory at 3pm.
