20 hours per week – Salary SCP6 £19698 & location allowance of £626, both pro rata (Local Government Terms and Conditions of Employment).
This brand-new role supports our aspirations to further connect with the community that we serve. We are passionate about Ware and spreading the message that we are an excellent place to live, visit, work and do business. The successful candidate will work with the Communications Manager to support the efficient day-to-day delivery of our Communications Plan. They will ensure clear communication of our organisations’ message across the different streams of Ware Town Council, including the Town Centre, Ware Priory Trading, Ware Lido, and the Cemetery & Allotment services.
You will need excellent interpersonal and organisational skills and enjoy dealing with a range of stakeholders including Council Members & Officers, local businesses, media, community groups and residents.
Experience of providing administrative support to a team would be ideal. You must be able to maintain, as well as improve current systems and processes and be highly competent with IT and digital applications. An understanding, enthusiasm and passion for all things social media is crucial! If you have campaign experience or have used it in a business setting before, even better.
