Councillor Victoria Shaw

I have lived in Ware all my life and I am committed to our wonderful community. I have been a councillor for over 15 years in total and Town Mayor twice. I have always been involved locally including being chairman of the CVS, a member of the Ware Festival Committee, Town Twinning and the Friends of Ware Priory. I initiated the first Ware’s the Film Festival in 2021 and have run a cinema club with my husband at the Southern Maltings for over 10 years. I know that we are so fortunate to live in a diverse and vibrant town with an inclusive and unique community spirit. My role as Town Councillor is to ensure that Ware gets its fair share of funding and support from the District and County Council. This allows the Town Council to support and encourage the many community groups, their volunteers and their projects that are responsible for maintaining and building Ware’s community.
